Brush for two minutes, twice a day
Two minutes might seem like a long time, but there are a couple of ways to ensure you hit that goal. First, I'm a huge fan of electric toothbrushes. Not only do they help with proper brushing techniques, but they also have built-in timers. A second and less costly option is purchasing a soft-bristled brush and simply playing a two-minute song on your phone while you brush. Use a gentle touch and a toothpaste with fluoride that isn't too abrasive. Don't forget your tongue! It can harbor bacteria that cause bad breath and tooth decay.
